What a year it's been! The new tasting room in town has been a wonderful success and we've loved seeing some of you at our new location and at the Winery. Our family business has grown by one with the arrival of Kate, which some of you may have met in the Winery tasting room this summer. Nothing makes us happier than having more of our family around.
Crush officially started for us last week. A fun time was had by all and it's always a great work day when you get to spend it outside having a good time with your family and friends (and Peaches!).
Wow, our wine club has grown!!! We`ve come a long way since our first shipment of 21 boxes. We hope you enjoy your wine shipment this year.
If you happen to be in town over the Thanksgiving weekend, come visit us at the Winery for Fall Barrel Tasting. There is nothing like tasting wine right out of the barrel. Also, enjoy Leavenworth in all its Christmas glory (and without the crowds) during Christkindlmarkt. It`s definitely one of our favorite festivals by far.
As always, our family thanks you for your continued support,
Ed & Nat

The Wines
2006 Merlot
A delicate, well-proportioned style, highlighted by cedar and berry notes of moderate richness and concentration, and a lingering finish. This wine pairs naturally with red meats. It runs the gamut from rich chicken dishes, pork chops, short ribs all the way to filet mignon. Drink now through 2015.
2007 Adler Weiß
Translated from German as Eagle White, this wine is our first white blend and is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Columbia Valley Semillon, Riesling, Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay all come together in this semi-sweet flowery wine which we made especially with summer in mind. This wine has been a great hit this year. Serve chilled. Enjoy through 2010.
2006 Syrah
Savory pomegranate and wild berry flavors dominate this spicy red. Lots of smoke and mineral notes too. Pair with asparagus, blue cheese, dry aged cheeses and of course, lamb. Drink now through 2013.
2006 Chardonnay
Smooth and harmonious. Focused and dry with pear and fresh citrus scents, finished with a dash of toasty oak. We recently had this wine with asiago cheese and it was like they were made for each other. Also good with most seafood dishes, especially ones with rich sauces, spices and strong herb flavors. Drink now through 2012. Serve moderately chilled.
2006 Cabernet Sauvignon
A distinctive richness that combines elegance and finesse, the ripe cherry and blackberry flavors are offset by a pleasant earthiness and finished with smooth, fine-grained tannins. Try pairing with sirloin steak, garlic roasted chicken, or for dessert with a nice dark chocolate. Drink now through 2014.
2006 Gewürztraminer
This spicy wine offers a unique flavor and bouquet unlike any other. Pairs well with salmon, turkey or simply by itself. Its enigmatic bouquet is hard to describe but easy to remember. Best served chilled but not ice cold. Drink now through 2009.
2007 White Riesling (Dry)
A rich, opulent aroma with wild hints of pears, apricots and honeysuckle, finishing with a dry, long, rich aftertaste. Enjoy by itself or pair with spicy Asian food, particulary Thai. Also, good with pork (such as a tasty bratwurst.) Drink now through 2009.
