Winery News

I want to welcome all of our new wine club members! Congratulations on making that delicious decision.

Eagle Creek Tasting Room Front

This summer has seen some changes around the winery. Ed has added a beautiful covering over the entrance to the tasting room. He even included a chandelier or two. Be sure to come and visit us and feast your eyes on his unique talents. I wonder how much carving he will get done this winter? I do have some inside information on a new endeavor he has in the works but I have been sworn to secrecy. More information to come!

d'Vinery Front

Kate, Ed and Andy were happy to see so many of you again out at the winery this summer. For those of you who haven't had a chance to make it out there yet, the winery will be open until Sunday, October 31st. The Cottage is available all year round however!

If you have not purchased a bottle of this years AdlerWeiss or Raspberry d'Vine, do not wait too long because our supply is very low.

It's been a great year and we owe it to all our loyal customers ... so ... Thank you!

Some of The Wines

Toasting Red Wine

2008 Cabernet Franc
No mistaking that earthy aroma. It's Cabernet Franc. With hints of violet, bell pepper and smoky cherry notes accenting a medium finish, this wine is a great addition to many meals including Mediterranean and Italian foods.

2008 Syrah
Savory pomegranate and blackberry flavors dominate this spicy red, medium smoke and mild mineral notes too. Pair with asparagus, blue cheese, dry aged cheeses and of course, Roquefort Sirloin Burger.

2008 Gewürztraminer
This spicy wine offers a unique flavor and bouquet unlike any other. Pairs well with salmon, turkey or simply by itself. Its enigmatic bouquet is hard to describe but easy to remember. Best served chilled but not ice cold.

2008 Montage
A rich blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc. It is fragrant and spicy with aromas of raspberry, ripe plum and wild berries. The smoky oak and peppercorn flavors give this blend a well-balanced and lasting finish. This wine pairs well with most Italian cuisine, particularly dishes where marinara is present.

2008 Merlot
Cassis rich bouquet, a delicate, well proportioned style, with cedar and berry notes of moderate richness and concentration with a lingering finish. Pairs well with many foods including salumi finnochiona.

2007 Pinot Grigio
A zesty wine with lime tinged flavors of apricot and red grapefruit. The tangy acidity keeps it balanced and structured with mineral notes and a peppery finish. Here's a wine for the Thanksgiving table. This wine pairs well with turkey, salmon or most fish dishes where the fish is the primary flavor. We also found this to be one of the only wines that pairs successfully with cilantro strong salsa. Serve chilled.
