Winery News

Our early winter months were spent building our newest tasting room in downtown Leavenworth and we are happy to announce that it is finally open. Located across the street from Gustav's, stop in and enjoy our gorgeous view and taste 'some mighty fine wine'. Remember to mention that you're in the wine club to receive your discount.

We've just recently returned from some much needed time off with the family in Mexico. We had a great time but now spring is here and it's time to get back to work. As of today, our tasting room at the winery is open for business. So come out and enjoy a glass of wine on our patio and take in the scenery.

As always thank you for your continued support,

Ed & Nat

The Wines

2007 Adler Weiß
Translated from German as Eagle White, this wine is our first white blend and is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Columbia Valley Semillon, Riesling, Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay all come together in this semi-sweet flowery wine which we made especially with summer in mind. This wine has been released early to be able to include it in our spring wine club shipment. It will be available to the public at the end of June. Ideally hold for a minimum of two months. That should give it plenty of time to chill ... serve chilled. Enjoy through 2010.

2006 Cabernet Sauvignon
A distinctive richness that combines elegance and finesse, the ripe cherry and blackberry flavors are offset by a pleasant earthiness and finished with smooth, fine-grained tannins. Try pairing with sirloin steak, garlic roasted chicken, or for something lighter serve with pasta and basil pesto. This is another wine that is not available to non-wine club members. This wine is ready to drink now although a little time in the cellar would do wonders. Drink now through 2014.

2005 Chardonnay
Smooth and harmonious. Focused and dry with pear and fresh citrus scents, finished with a dash of toasty oak. We recently paired this wine perfectly with a plantain crusted chicken dish. Also good with most seafood dishes, especially ones with rich sauces, spices and strong herb flavors. Drink now through 2011. Serve moderately chilled.

2005 Merlot
A delicate, well-proportioned style, highlighted by cedar and berry notes of moderate richness and concentration, and a lingering finish. This wine pairs naturally with red meats. It runs the gamut from rich chicken dishes, pork chops, short ribs all the way to filet mignon. Drink now through 2014.

2005 Syrah
Savory pomegranate and wild berry flavors dominate this spicy red. Lots of smoke and mineral notes too. Pair with asparagus, blue cheese, dry aged cheeses and of course, lamb. Drink now through 2012.

2005 Montage
A rich blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. It is fragrant and spicy with aromas of raspberry, ripe plum and wild berries. The smoky oak and peppercorn flavors give this blend a well-balanced and lasting finish. This wine pairs well with most Italian cuisine, particularly dishes where marinara is present. Also complements sausages, veal and chicken. Try this wine with Lasagne (see recipe). Drink now through 2011.

2006 Gewürztraminer
This spicy wine offers a unique flavor and bouquet unlike any other. Pairs well with salmon, turkey or simply by itself. Its enigmatic bouquet is hard to describe but easy to remember. Best served chilled but not ice cold. Drink now through 2009.

2006 White Riesling
A rich, opulent aroma with wild hints of pears, apricots and honeysuckle, finishing with a dry, long, rich aftertaste. Enjoy by itself or pair with spicy Asian food, particulary Thai. Also, good with pork (such as a tasty bratwurst.) Drink now through 2009.
